Editorial Policy
Intelligence, Informatics and Infrastructure aims to be a central hub for academic and technological announcements in AI and data science applications. We prioritize papers that demonstrate innovation, future potential, and social relevance, contributing to the advancement of academia and technology.
The Editorial Board conducts a rigorous review process to maintain high standards while fostering interdisciplinary and advanced research areas.
Peer Review Model
We employ a Single-Blind Peer Review process (reviewers know the author's identity, but authors do not know the reviewer's identity). Manuscripts are reviewed by multiple experts in relevant fields.
Review Criteria & Procedure
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the provided review system (ScholarOne). Important: Given the rapidly developing nature of this field, we do not overly emphasize "completeness" or "polish". Instead, we value the novelty, potential impact, and scientific validity of the work.
- Constructive Feedback: Review comments are generally sent to authors as-is. Reviewers are requested to provide constructive, respectful feedback.
- Decision: Based on the reviews, the Editorial Board makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection.
Invited Papers
To introduce state-of-the-art interdisciplinary research, we accept invited papers from leading researchers in Japan and abroad. These contributions help support the activities of researchers and engineers in AI and data science applications.
Handling of Previously Published Work
Manuscripts containing previously published content (e.g., conference proceedings) may be accepted if they have been substantially restructured with new findings or perspectives. The Editorial Board will assess whether the submission presents sufficient new knowledge. Authors must accurately cite any previously published material.
Final Decision & Confidentiality
The final decision on acceptance or rejection is made under the responsibility of the Editorial Board and communicated to the author. The names of individual reviewers are kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to the author or external parties.
